Teresa has been a care provider since 1975, working with special needs children and adults at a residential facility.
In 1979 she began a nursing career and has worked in hospitals, home health care, rehabilitation, and long term care settings.
In 2000, Teresa graduated from The Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy and has had a private practice, makes visits to group homes, and has been working in retirement/long term care facility for 20 plus years, providing therapeutic massage for residents and staff using a variety of techniques.
Since 2008, Teresa has been working with The Care Collaborative team as a nurse instructor in the Nursing Assistant/Home Health Aide training programs. She continues her work with The Care Collaborative as a massage therapist in the Giving Back Massage Therapy program.
Teresa looks forward to working with the direct care workers and the general population. She finds it very rewarding to be a part of her clients relaxation, stress reduction, gentle touch, and self care awareness in this profession.
Tammy believes that every “body” deserves to feel the many benefits of massage. While massage may feel luxurious, it should be thought of as a benefit to your overall health. She encourages everyone to incorporate massage on a regular basis into their health routine and track the difference in overall health.
Tammy has traveled extensively to acquire knowledge and from other parts of the world. She has studied energy healing in Brazil, Sacred Temple Lomi-Lomi massage in Hawaii, had the opportunity to collaborate with other therapists in Africa, Mexico, Dubai, and across the United States. Tammy owns a private practice in Sunderland, Mountain View Healing Arts. She graduated from Greenfield Community College with an AS in Mental Health/Substance Abuse and University of Amherst with a BA in Health and Wellness in the workplace.
